Azuara de la Luz was found guilty of the murder and abuse of authority against the interpreter of Benito Rivers in Vecinos, but the sentence has not yet been handed down, therefore, it is not yet known how long he will be behind bars and if he has to pay some reparation for the damage to the family.

However, Bertha Ocaña, sister of the deceased actor, shared that the reading of the sentence will take place next week, the day scheduled for this is Tuesday, December 19, she said in an interview with the Sale el Sol program.

According to the information shared by the actor’s father, Octavio Pérez, the sentence could be a minimum of 25 years.

In addition to this, he shared that during this process his mother suffered threats from relatives of the former police officer, but this does not mean that they are thinking about stopping the process or granting forgiveness to Azuara.

The LexPro law firm announced this in a statement in which they explained that the crime of homicide involving co-authorship was only against Octavio, but the same did not happen with the crime of abuse of authority.

It should be remembered that both David and Jonathan were involved in the entire process as witnesses to the murder of the protagonist of Brothers and Detectives, as well as victims of abuse of authority by two police officers.

Until now, the process for Octavio’s death continues since Gerardo “N” has not been captured; They accuse him of allegedly being the police officer who was driving the patrol car from which the actor was shot.

Gerardo “N” is a fugitive from justice and the Prosecutor’s Office of the State of Mexico offered a reward of 300 thousand pesos to anyone who can offer information that leads to the whereabouts of the alleged culprit. The family has tried to raise this figure to 500 thousand or one million pesos.
