There is great uncertainty about how the finances of Norwegian families will develop.
Minister of Finance Trygve Slagsvold Vedum was buzzed again at the Debate on NRK on Tuesday. He continues to wrap himself in the arithmetic that has already been taken apart. The family he uses as an example has a far higher income than many Norwegian households. He does not seem to have complete control over the economic concepts either.
The most problematic thing is that Vedum is trying to present it as if most people will see real wage growth in 2022. We actually do not know that yet. The repercussions of the corona and the war in Ukraine make the economic outlook very uncertain. The prices of a wide range of goods and input factors in the world are rising sharply.
