The two star artists of Instagram and Youtube are the spokespersons of the campaign in favor of legal platforms launched on social networks by Hadopi and the CNC. Under the slogan “We all have good reasons to stop pirating”, the campaign primarily targets young people, who remain the biggest consumers of illegal content.

Already seen nearly half a million times on Instagram, three thousand five hundred times on YouTube, this sequence is part of the new communication campaign unveiled last week by the CNC and the High Authority for the dissemination of works and protection of rights on the internet (Hadopi). To speak of pirating and illegal downloading, she deliberately adopts the party of humor and derision.

With the caption the slogan “We all have good reasons to stop pirating”, she wants to demonstrate that films, series or sporting events are better than poor image or sound quality. Consisting of three spots and five visuals, which will be broadcast until January on YouTube, Instagram and Snapchat via sponsored posts, this speech is aimed mainly at consumers aged 15 to 35, and more particularly to Internet users aged 15 at 24 years old. The young public remains the age group that consumes the most pirated content online (67% of 15-39 year olds, against 46% of all consumers, according to a study by Hadopi). “It is also the category of Internet users most vulnerable to the nuisances and risks presented by illicit services”, underlines Pauline Blassel, general secretary of Hadopi.
