Asep also said that the party Laura Anna had urged Gaga Muhammad for compensation related to an accident that left Laura paralyzed. The nominal amount is up to IDR 12.5 billion. Asep said he was unable to make the payment.
“At the same time also conveying that then because there was pressure from Laura’s family, for a reimbursement in terms of money which was so fantastic according to our size. So we were unable to pay it, so this process went to court,” he said.
Asep admits that his family also has financial limitations, so they are unable to fulfill Laura’s request. Even to pay the lawyer Asep admitted that he could not afford it.
“Even when I was paying for a lawyer, like my brother Fahmi Bachmid, I couldn’t, I couldn’t. Let alone someone like Fahmi Bachmid, even an ordinary lawyer, I couldn’t afford at that time,” he said.
“It just happened that Fahmi was a friend of a friend at my campus, my doctoral friend at Jayabaya was friendly, humanitarian and then he wanted to help me. It was not easy, I have been since 2020 since the summons was sent to my family, I always consulted asking him for help. It hasn’t even been confirmed,” Asep explained.
Asep is very grateful because Fahmi, who is a lawyer, wants to help the family Gaga Muhammad | without payment.
“Until when my son was detained in the remand center, then he met me again and talked about it. There was no payment at all. Thank God he is my friend, in friendship, humanity is what he is fighting for, maybe that’s all from me, ” he concluded.
