Meal delivery company Just Eat Takeaway will deliver groceries for British supermarket chain Sainsbury’s. The British subsidiary Just Eat will carry out those deliveries.
This will first be done from 175 supermarkets, including stores in London, Edinburgh and Bristol. The intention is to expand the partnership to more stores and cities later this year.
Just Eat also has partnerships with British supermarkets Co-op and Asda, while Sainsbury’s also has groceries delivered by Deliveroo and Uber Eats. Sainsbury’s also has its own service called Chop Chop that delivers groceries within an hour.
In our country, Thuisbezorgd.nl, the Dutch branch of Just Eat Takeaway, delivers groceries for Albert Heijn. Just Eat Takeaway also has delivery deals in Europe with Spar and the French supermarket groups Casino and Carrefour.
