Stefanos Tsitsipas has reached the eighth finals at Roland Garros with some difficulty. In an evening match that lasted almost three hours, the Greek number five in the world defeated American John Isner 5-7, 6-3, 7-6(4), 6-1.
Isner took the first set thanks to a break at 5-5. Especially the service of the American, who hit sixteen aces, was initially too powerful for Tsitsipas. Only at 2-1 in the second set did the Greek get his first breakpoints, which were eliminated by Isner.
At 4-3 it was hit for Tsitsipas. After a third set without breakpoints, Tsitsipas no longer had any problems with the storage violence of the tall Isner.

Alexander Zverev reached the eighth finals at the expense of Laslo Djere. The sixth-seeded German won 6-2, 7-5, 6-2 against the Serb and belongs to the last sixteen in Paris for the fourth time in succession.
