During the autumn holidays, many people moved to neighboring countries to escape the security measures in Belgium. After all, just across the border it is possible to shop and even eat. Luxembourg has been at the very top of the ranking of European countries with the highest incidence (more than 1,400 infections per 100,000 inhabitants) for more than a week, but little of this is noticeable in a nightlife area just across the border. There is indeed a curfew in Luxembourg: no one is allowed on the street between 11 pm and 6 am without a valid reason, but the local catering industry does not close until 11 pm. A mouth mask is not mandatory in the shopping street and a safe distance cannot be kept. “It looks like an ant’s nest,” said our reporter on site.
