Just a candidate, this coach has been reviled by Everton fans

Liverpool

Victor Pereira apes right. New is also the time of exploring with Everton To become a manager, Pereira has received a strong rejection from the Toffees fans. Whoops!

Everton are looking for a new manager after sacking Rafael Benitez two weeks ago. This was done because of the poor performance of the team, which has only won once in the Premier League since last September.

For a time, Duncan Ferguson handled Everton as interim manager. Management is also working quickly to find a replacement for Benitez and there are already three strong candidates.

From England, there are Frank Lampard and Wayne Rooney, while from outside there is Vitor Pereira. For Pereira, maybe the British public doesn’t know him much even though he is one of Portugal’s top coaches.

Pereira is still in charge of Fenerbahce and his achievements with Porto and Olympiakos are the reasons why Everton approached him. Pereira has won two Portuguese League titles, one Greek League title, and also the Chinese Super League with Shanghai SIPG.

Therefore, Pereira clearly has the quality and experience above Lampard and Rooney who are still green in the managerial world. Nevertheless. Pereira has received strong rejection from Everton fans.

After learning that Pereira was being auditioned by club owner Farhad Moshiri, Everton fans protested by crossing the Goodison Park wall with the message ‘Pereira Out, Lampard In’.

Regarding the Everton fans’ refusal, Pereira said he was surprised because he had never seen it before. According to him, the criticism is directed at club owners who are considered less qualified in management.

“Of course the scribbles hurt me. This is the first time I’ve seen anything like this. I’ve never heard any comments like this,” said Victor Pereira to Sky Sports.

“I don’t think this criticism is directed at me. The atmosphere of the club is not good and the fans are so excited and this is the strength of this club,” continued the 53-year-old man.

“I’ve always worked under pressure. I’ve worked at many clubs that don’t even know the word draw.”
