The seventh “Jurmala Festival” will take place with five concerts. The festival will be opened on July 27 at 8 pm in Dzintari Concert Hall with Raimonds Pauls’ 85th anniversary concert “Fourth Wave”, which will feature popular and audience-loved Paul’s songs, the organizers informed.
Maestro himself says in his own, somewhat ironic way, that the subtext of this event will be “return”. I hope you understand what that means. “
In one concert, listeners will have the opportunity to hear Intars Busulis, Daumants Kalniņš, Siegfried Muktupāvels, Laima Vaikulis, Anci Krauzis, Dinārs Rudāns, Aija Vītoliņš, Agnese Rakovskis, Veronika Plotņikovs, Žoržs Siksna, Normunds Rutulis, big band, Sinfonietta Riga string group and other artists.
The concert will feature the most famous Raimonds Pauls music hits and melodies from movies.
In the program of “Jūrmala Festival” in five concerts you will be able to hear the honorary artist, opera singer Aleksandrs Antoņenko together with Latvian and world renowned artists Raimonds Pauls, Ksenijs Sidorovs, Iveta Apkalns, Zandas Švēde, Intars Busulis, Laima Vaikulis, Radio Latvia, Daumantas Kalniņš “Sinfonietta Rīga”, Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, conductors Ainārs Rubiķis and Andris Pogus.
Concert attendees will be required to present an interoperable vaccination or Covid-19 certificate, as well as an identity document.
