Jurisdiction Still Awaiting Investigator’s Decision on Bahar bin Smith’s Application for Postponement of Detention

TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – A week after being named a suspect in a suspected case of spreading hoax or hoax, Bahar bin Smith still detained in West Java Police.

Ichwan said, since it was submitted last week, his party has not asked again about the answer investigator regarding the suspension of detention of his client.

“We haven’t asked him yet investigator,” say Ichwan Tuankotta.

Previously, the Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Kombes Ibrahim Tempo, said that his party was still focusing on the investigatorand collecting information from suspects in suspected cases of spreading hoax in a lecture at Margahayu, Bandung Regency on December 10, 2021.

Investigators still need Bahar to complete the case file.

“Not yet. There are still many considerations. Investigators are more focused on resolving case files,” said Ibrahim when confirmed, Sunday (9/1/2022).

Previously, the West Java Regional Police had received a letter of request for suspension submitted by Habib Bahar’s advocacy team, last Wednesday (5/1/2022).

The letter requesting the suspension consists of two copies of each power of law Bahar.

First, a letter of guarantee from the one submitted power of law initials A, both letters from the team power of law.

Habib Bahar’s other legal counsel, Aziz Yanuar, said he would prepare a letter requesting a postponement of follow -up detention.

This is done if the previous application has not been responded to.

In the letter of application for postponement of follow-up detention, a list of guarantors will be attached, consisting of community leaders and scholars from West Java.
