Kerala fourth in National Junior Athletic Meet Haryana are the champions. Kerala won nine gold, seven silver and two bronze medals. Haryana won 21 gold, 20 silver and 14 bronze medals. Tamil Nadu came second with 13 gold medals and Uttar Pradesh came third.
On the last day of the meet, Kerala won two gold and three silver medals. Ansik was the second gold in the meet. Ansik also won gold in the long jump.
J Vishnupriya also won gold in the 400m hurdles. Reached first in 1: 01.69. K Lakshmipriya won silver in the under-18 girls’ 400m hurdles. B Bharathraj finished second in the boys’ high jump. J Rijo also won silver in the boys’ 1500m. Kerala was understaffed due to the Kovid representative.
