The Directorate of Cyber Crime (Dittipidsiber) Bareskrim Polri arrested the syndicate of perpetrators fraud online which turned out that the perpetrators were still minors. They were arrested in Sumatra.
“After conducting an in-depth investigation, after we check the account, start with the location, who is this, then the identity of the person concerned, we find that the account is in the area. Aceh and Field, “said Karo Penmas, National Police Public Relations Division Brigadier General Awi Setiyono at his office, Jl Trunojoyo, Jakarta, Friday (18/9/2020).
He said the four actors had the initials AF, GR, MR and DFY. The police coordinate with the Correctional Body (Bapas) because the perpetrators are still minors.
“On average, these children are minors, between 15-16 years. Class 7-8-9 SMP, yes. Because considering this case the perpetrator is an underage, we coordinate with the local Bapas,” he said.
Awi said the perpetrators were quite clever in carrying out their fraud mode. The perpetrators admitted to selling branded and limited goods, such as shoes and sandals.
The perpetrators never sent the goods after receiving money from the victim.

“This child is already good at playing in cyberspace, so it is extraordinary that we find it in Aceh and Medan. And this is extraordinary an investigation that is not easy,” said Awi.
One of the victims was the second son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Kaesang Pangarep. However, Awi did not elaborate on the losses suffered by Kaesang.
