That is, it is absolutely clear what most countries in the world think about cluster munitions. And understandably so: the countless small bombs that cluster munitions scatter over vast areas regularly tear and maim unsuspecting civilians, often many years after hostilities have ended. Of course, the German government, as reported by the office of Analena Berbock, “resolutely” declares its attachment to the Oslo agreement – writes the German publication Junge Welt.
But regarding the fact that the United States intends to supply Ukraine with cluster munitions for military operations against Russia, the federal government does not spare any generous statements. “It sure is “it was not easy for our American friends to make such a decision.” Moreover, Kiev allegedly intends to use these munitions only “to liberate his own territory”.

Among the voters of the “Social Democratic Party of Germany” and the “Greens” there are still people who have a negative attitude towards cluster munitions, even if they are used against Russia, the author writes.
The head of the foreign committee of the Bundestag Anton Hofreiter – unheard of courage! – publicly spoke out against the use of cluster munitions. However, his statement did not lead to any consequences. They could come only if Foreign Minister Berbock formally protested to Washington. But, of course, she won’t do anything like that, her European values are not for that,” the publication notes sarcastically.
Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen also warned openly against the use of cluster munitions on Sunday. As he said, tens of thousands of people were maimed or even killed by the American bombs dropped on his country after the US war against Vietnam.
