According to law enforcement officials on the 17th, the 14th Administrative Division of the Seoul Administrative Court (Deputy Judge Lee Sang-hoon) recently ruled that the plaintiffs won a lawsuit against the Seoul Southern District Prosecutor’s Office, saying, “Please cancel the disposition for refusing to disclose information.”
Moon requested the disclosure of the investigation records of the public office election law violation case of Rep. Ha Tae-gyeong, who was unprosected by the Seoul Southern District Prosecutor’s Office in November 2017, and the court asked the court to disclose all contents except for sensitive information such as some personal information. decided.
The judge said that the truthfulness of the investigation record is related to the suspicion of preferential employment by public institutions regarding the son of a high-ranking public official who was the head of the presidential secretary at the time of hiring. In addition, he added, “In the process of filing a suspicion of special claims, related press releases and conversations with related parties were included.” He added, “This disclosure of information is expected to help resolve allegations of special claims and secure transparency in the investigation process.”
Congressman Ha argued that there was a suspicion that the Korea Employment Information Service had’preferentially hired’ Moon in April 2017, ahead of the presidential election. In addition, the Democratic Party accused the prosecutors of prosecution, saying that Congressman Ha had announced false information for the purpose of losing the presidential candidate.
The prosecution closed the case by unprosecuting Congressman. Then, Moon demanded the disclosure of the relevant investigation information and, when rejected, filed an administrative lawsuit.
Moon said that the Ministry of Employment and Labor audited the allegations of preferential hiring through an audit of the Korea Employment Information Service twice in 2007 and 2011, and that even though it was revealed to be unfounded, Congressman Ha raised false suspicions.
Meanwhile, prior to Mr. Moon, Congressman Ha also filed a lawsuit against the Seoul Southern District Prosecutor’s Office to disclose investigation data, such as a statement from the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and the Supreme Court in September 2019. Afterwards, Congressman Ha filed an additional lawsuit against the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors’ Office saying that he would also disclose 10 additional affidavits from hiring managers at the Korea Employment Information Service, and won some of the first trials in December last year.
