Supermarket chain Jumbo has a medicine against loneliness: the chat desk. Customers who have time and would like to chat with the cashier can go there to ‘chat’. Such cash registers have been around for a while in the Netherlands. In the new Jumbo branch in Balen, which opened its doors on Wednesday, you will find the first Belgian chat box.
