PT Adaro Energia Indonesia Tbk (ARO) announced that it would distribute dividends worth US$500 million or approximately IDR 7.7 trillion (IDR 15,500 exchange rate). This amount is equivalent to US$0.016 per share
This dividend value is claimed to be one of the highest distributed by the company. The amount is 67% higher than the 2021 interim dividend of $300 million.
The company approved the distribution of interim dividends by Board of Directors Circular Decree with the approval of the Board of Commissioners pursuant to the Commissioner Board Circular Decree, both dated 21 December 2022.
“Providing returns to shareholders in the form of earnings growth, dividends and share buybacks is the Company’s goal. In 2022, strong coal prices and efficient operating performance support strong performance in the months to 2022,” he said. said President Energy Director Garibaldi Thohir di Adaro in his statement on Friday (23/12/2022).
Share codified companies ARO reported solid operating and financial performance through the ninth month of 2022. It reported underlying income of $2.3 billion, up 262% from the same period in 2021.
The cash position at the end of September was US$3.3 billion, 122% more than a year earlier. The company also managed to post net cash of US$1.8 billion against net debt of US$ million.
The distribution of interim dividends to shareholders will be made on 13 January 2023. The distribution of dividends will be made using the Rupiah currency with reference to the average rate of Bank Indonesia on 3 January 2023.
ADRO will also announce the conversion rate through the Indonesia Stock Exchange website and the Company’s website on January 3, 2023.
