Kastara.ID, Depok – Mekarjaya Village Head Zainal Arifin asked every RW head in his area to strengthen the cadre of larva monitoring officers (Jumantik). This is important to do, because it is now the rainy season, so it is vulnerable to transmission of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF).
“Indeed, it has been conveyed to the RW, so we emphasize that the Jumantik is strengthened. Vigilance is increased and we urge every meeting to be related to this dengue fever,” said Zainal Arifin, as reported on the Depok City Government’s official website, Friday (12/10).
Zainal said, to suppress dengue cases in his area, several efforts have been made. Like re-moving Jumantik cadres and Poyandu cadres to monitor the cleanliness of residents’ homes.
“We hope they will come down to the houses that seem prone to become breeding grounds for mosquitoes,” he said.
In addition, said Zainal, several RWs have also carried out fogging. This is to anticipate the spread of dengue cases.
“From reports there are about 14 residents affected by dengue. But this week everything is fine. The last report on Wednesday has returned home and is healthy,” he explained.
Finally, he advised the public to always apply the Clean and Healthy Lifestyle (PHBS). That way, various diseases that arise due to lack of hygiene can be prevented.
“We ask all parties to pay attention, especially regarding public health. We continue to echo the clean lifestyle and apply it in daily life,” he said. (dha)
