Almost three million families ready to get the bonus in the form of a discount on their bills. And the procedure, this time, is extremely simplified.
The discount on your bill is always good news, for whatever reason it arrives. Even better if the reduction in expenses comes in a common condition of general economic hardship, such as that brought about by the pandemic. It is clear that, during the lockdown period, the cost of utilities has risen due to greater consumption. The stay-at-home, from this point of view, did not favor anyone, not even with the bonus policy in support of domestic welfare. However, with the arrival of July, the facilitation takes the form of the social bonus on bills, aimed precisely at those who find themselves having to face the new rise in consumption in precarious economic conditions.
In reality, this is a benefit expected as early as January but postponed indefinitely following the review of the Authority for Energy, Networks and the Environment (Arera), required by the review of the Privacy Guarantor. Now, however, everything seems to be in order and the discount on the bill falls precisely in the month potentially most subject to the use of domestic users. The key word is air conditioning, but other appliances can also help make summer bills more expensive.

Cheaper bill in July: beneficiaries and social bonus requirements
It will not be difficult to access the discount on your bill. It will be enough to fill in the single substitutive declaration (Dsu) and the curtailment will be applied automatically, without forwarding any request. An overcoming, in fact, of the previous bonus on request, which decisively streamlines the procedures for accessing the facility. In recent years, the bureaucracy had limited the use of a bonus which, by the way it could affect nearly 3 million families. As far as income is concerned, the beneficiaries must not have one, declared in Isee, exceeding 8,265 euros. For families with at least 4 dependent children, the reference indicator must not indicate figures exceeding 20 thousand euros. Green light also for holders of income or citizenship pension, as long as they have an active supply of domestic users. The overall duration of the social bonus is 12 months.

No more questions via Caf or the Municipality of residence then. The INPS will be responsible for automatically sending the data to the Integrated Information System (Be) of the single Buyer, so as to facilitate access to the discount on the bill without producing further documentation other than the DSU. The data will be transmitted via s-FTP client connection, so as to protect the privacy of users through encryption and digital signature. If all the requirements are met, the discount will be applied directly to the bill. In case of centralized supply, families will be paid the full amount once a year. Cashier’s check, however, in the event of a water bonus. For gas it will be a domiciled bank transfer, made out to the person who filled out the Dsu. For the withdrawal of the amount, specific communications will arrive.
