July-August, DHF in Depok Down

RADARDEPOK.COM, DEPOK – There has been a decline in cases of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) in Depok City, from July to August 2021. The difference is 102 cases. The decline in cases was motivated by the increasing public awareness of environmental cleanliness.

Head of Disease Prevention and Control (P2P), Depok City Health Service (Dinkes), Umi Zakiati said, during July there were 407 DHF cases in Depok City. This figure is the highest so far. 2021 period.

“Then, it decreased in August to 305 cases. Alhamdulillah, I hope the public awareness for the Eradication of Mosquito Nests and a Clean and Healthy Lifestyle (PHBS) is good,” he told Radar Depok, Sunday (03/10).

He said, in August, the highest cases were contributed from two regions, namely Beji District and Cimanggis District with 59 cases. Followed by District Pancoranmas 54 cases and Tapos 47 cases of dengue.

“For the month of September there are still several health facilities (faskes) that have not been reported. So the recapitulation has not yet been completed,” he explained.

His party has monitored case reports from puskesmas, hospitals, as well as private health service facilities. With the aim of DHF cases in Depok can be continuously monitored.

We continue to handle dengue cases. In addition to having instructed puskesmas and hospitals to handle dengue patients according to their authority and standard operating procedures (SOPs),” he said

He said that synergies with puskesmas and hospitals were carried out so that DHF patients could receive proper treatment. So that people can be free from the disease.

The Depok City Health Office also advises the community through villages and sub-districts to carry out 3M Plus Mosquito Nest Eradication (PSN), such as draining places that are often used as water reservoirs, closing water reservoirs tightly. Also reuse or recycle used goods that have the potential to become a breeding ground for the Aedes aegypti mosquito

“We also carry out periodic larval checks (PJB), larvicidation in each area with fogging implementation focusing on areas where dengue cases are found,” he explained.

He also hopes that the various steps taken can minimize dengue cases in Depok City. Of course with the contribution of the community to keep the environment clean. “We need support and contribution from the community with clean living behavior and maintaining the environment,” he said. (rd/daf)
