Paul Daraîche’s sister, Julie, died at the age of 84 after decades of life in music.
It was his daughter Dani Daraiche who made the announcement on social networks late Tuesday afternoon.
“It is with great sadness that I announce the death of my little loving mother My queen …. I love you,” she soberly wrote, prompting an avalanche of tributes and sad reactions.
The cause of death was not specified.
The country singer had just celebrated her 84th birthday on Sunday at a bar in Pointe-aux-Trembles, many Internet users pointed out on her Facebook page by sharing photos of the celebrations.
Devoting a true love to country song, Julie Daraîche marked Quebec music for more than five decades. Moreover, the singer had released the album Julie Daraîche – 50 years of love” resuming her greatest career successes in 2017.
The artist’s discography includes some twenty albums, some of which she expresses herself alongside her brother Paul Daraîche.
