Between them, they already counted twelve victories in the streets of Chartres: eight for Madame, four for Monsieur. The figures were updated this Saturday evening for Julie Chuberre and her husband Sylvain Dodé, who again triumphed over the Strides of the cathedral. An expected outcome as the two athletes domiciled in Hanches have become accustomed to dominating races in Eure-et-Loir over the past ten years.

Without much competition, Sylvain Dodé (36 years old) went it alone in the Chartres night and completed the 9.8 km of the new route in 30”12. Encouraged by a very compact crowd in some places, the member of the A3 Tours Free Run was more than two minutes ahead of the young professional cyclist. Hugo Page, came to test himself on foot (32”38) at the end of his road season. Julien Peltier (Sohbi Sport) completed the podium in 32.54.
A good participation
In women, for her big comeback, just four months after giving birth to a little Zoe, Julie Chuberre won quite easily as well, in 36”01. If she says she is still far from her best level, her current form, more than correct, was enough for her to clearly distance Anaïs De Cock (Jouy-Saint-Perst, 37”57) and Linda Collet (Pep28, 39”12).
New record ! 4,310 participants in the 7th Foulées roses de Chartres and € 27,174 for the Peps association
In total, 1,610 competitors took part in this event co-organized by The Republican Echo and ASPTT Chartres, a figure that is down compared to 2019 (2,100), but nevertheless very honorable in a still troubled health context.
