Julian Nagelsmann Faces Diverse Challenges at Bayern Munich

Jakarta

Bayern Munich has officially announced firing Julian Nagelsman. Here are some of the problems the coach faced while coaching Die Roten.

Bayern’s progress with Nagelsmann is actually not bad. Bayern Munich able to win the Bundesliga title in the inaugural season with Nagelsmann.

This season, Bayern under Nagelsmann are actually still on track to win the treble. However, management considered that Bayern’s performance was not satisfactory enough, especially after the new year.

Bayern have drawn three and lost two times in 2023. Most recently, they lost 1-2 at home to Bayer Leverkusen.

After the defeat against Leverkusen, Julian Nagelsman make comments that corner players. Thomas Mueller et al. considered lazy.

“Today we were lazy. In defense and attack some players had a zero per cent work rate. We were very weak in playing our own game. Leverkusen deserved to win. We didn’t have enough power,” kata Nagelsmann.

Bayern’s inconsistent pace was the main reason for Nagelsmann’s dismissal. This was conveyed by the CEO of Bayern, Oliver Kahn.

“After the World Cup we played less successfully and less attractively. The big fluctuations in performance have cast doubt on our goals for the season, but also our goals for the future. That’s why we are acting now,” said Kahn.

Julian Nagelsman also managed to create an atmosphere in Bayern Munich went into a frenzy when he sacked goalkeeping coach Toni Tapalovic. Manuel Neuer as the team’s main goalkeeper was taken by surprise.

“For me, it’s a blow – when I hit the ground. I feel like my heart is being torn apart. This is the most brutal thing I’ve ever experienced in my career. And I’ve been through a lot,” Neuer said in early February Then.

Toni was reportedly sacked after falling out with head coach Julian Nagelsmann. It was said that Toni only focused on goalkeepers Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreic, but all of these allegations seemed to be untrue.

“Everyone in the goalkeeping department is in tatters. People are crying. I think that says it all. Goalkeeping is a team within a team, but Toni is popular throughout the squad,” he said.

Bayern Munich already appointed Thomas Tuchel as a replacement. The former Borussia Dortmund tactician had brought Chelsea to win the Champions League.
