Julián Muñoz’s appearance on ¡De viernes! came as quite a surprise after the latest reports about his health. The former mayor of Marbella has been admitted to hospital on several occasions over the last few months. So much so that friends of his have revealed that his health was getting worse by the minute.
And it was hours after this surprising and devastating interview that the former politician had to be urgently admitted to a hospital in the Malaga town, as confirmed by Mayte Zaldívar herself.

This Sunday, Julián Muñoz had to be transferred to the Marbella International Hospital after suffering a relapse in his complicated state of health. A fact that occurs on repeated occasions due to the strong mediation he receives, as his close circle made clear a few months ago.
The Fiesta programme was responsible for revealing this new admission, putting on the table the concern of his relatives. “Each admission is more worrying, they tell me that they are still hopeful and he is in very good hands,” Mayte Zaldívar said in a text message sent to the journalist Mónika Vergara.
Julian Muñoz said he was “fucked” in his last interview
A hospitalization that was not expected, despite his state of health, and that could be due to his recent interview. And it was there that he wanted to make it clear that he was not going to make this type of statement again. “I don’t know how much time I have left, but I am not going to make any more,” he said firmly.
In his statements he said that the treatment he is undergoing has left him “screwed up”. “Since January, with two broken vertebrae, they have given me morphine and it has been terrible. I had a very bad time with the chemo and now I take 20 pills a day. I have had two or three heart attacks, a stroke, and the sugar has left me without sight in one eye…” he recounted point by point.

An interview with Mayte Zaldívar sitting next to him, who also did not want to remain silent. Among other things, they did not hesitate to address the subject of their surprising marriage. There have been many rumors that have been put on the table over these months, including a future widow’s pension.
“We all had the idea of getting married, including Fernando. Julián started to cry and we asked him what was wrong, and he told us that he was very sorry that we weren’t married. Do you want us to get married and feel more at ease to see your family together again? Well, come on, we’ll do it. I can assure you that the reason we got married is not 400 euros in pension,” Zaldívar clarified.
