However, Roberts is certain that the Vivian she portrays is still alive: “And now she runs his business.”

The Oscar winner asked others, “Where would they be today?” predictions for some of her most memorable characters. She said to Daisy and Beau Charles from “Pizza, Pizza” (1988): “Let’s hope they’re still together and have some cute little kids.” The film “My Best Friend’s Wedding” (1997), however, ended after Roberts’ opinion exactly how it should have ended. Julianne’s love for Michael remains unrequited: “No, he is married and faithful to his wife. “And George and Julianne start a DIY show on HGTV and become incredibly famous,” she further joked.
In 1999 she made another film with Richard Gere, “The Bride Who Doesn’t Dare”. What would have happened to the two of them after the end of the film? “Maggie literally rides off into the sunset with Richard Gere after leaving four other men at the altar.” This time, however, Gere’s character doesn’t have to die: “They will stay together.”
And how about the cult film “Notting Hill” from 1999, in which she played a famous actress alongside Hugh Grant (63)? Anna, Roberts imagined, had left Hollywood to look after a large group of children in London. “She is retired. She has six children and has kept her waist surprisingly well,” said the 56-year-old. Her lover William still runs his bookstore, and Anna runs a small knitting department next to it.
