Julia Henriksson just continues to impress.
Her Swedish indoor record in the 200 meters only survived a week, when the clock stopped at 23.03 in the final of the indoor WC.
But there will be no indoor WC in Glasgow.
– No, I have already declined to invest in the outdoor season, says Julia to friidrottskanalen.se.
It was 60 meters that was relevant in Glasgow, as 200 meters is no longer an event at the indoor championships.
Maybe that’s a shame.
On Saturday, she won the women’s 60 meters with a personal record of 6.22.
Now she won her second SM gold, when she was completely superior in the 200.
– It feels absolutely incredible, when the goal was a double. To be able to set a Swedish record for that is absolutely fantastic. Now there will be a few days of rest before the investment begins towards the outdoor season, she says.

She set a Swedish record with 23.06 as recently as last weekend in the Nordenkampen.
Now she lowered that time by three hundredths.
She is still chasing the dream limit of 23 seconds, but the fact that she has now run faster inside than outside points to new record times this summer.
Her personal outdoor record is 23.15 and the long-term goal is to beat Linda Haglund’s 44-year-old Swedish record of 22.82.
It does not feel completely impossible if she develops further for the outdoor season.
Now the big goal is the EC in Rome at the beginning of June.
– Yes, I will try to get to the EC final, she says.
And the pursuit of new records continues.
