Sevilla defender Jules Kounde has clarified a tweet he posted on Friday night after his failed move to Chelsea.
The French center-half was hoping to secure a transfer to the Premier League club this summer.
However, Sevilla held their own for an amount very close to their € 80million release clause.
Chelsea were not prepared to pay such a high fee for the defender.
Kounde initially tweeted “You know the price of everything but the value of nothing #CLB.”
However, he later clarified, adding: “Chill !! it’s just lyrics, really not that deep ”accompanied by laughing and yawning emojis.
