Jul, SCH, Alonzo, Kofs… discover the title and the clip “Bande organisé 2”

We take the same and start again? After several days of teasing on social networks, with mysterious photos – a “Marseille” written on a black background put on the front page – and stories filmed near the Old Port, Organized gang 2the new opus from the Marseille rapper collective led by Jul, has been available since late Thursday, August 15.

Four years to the day after the hit was released Organized gang and the album 13’OrganizedJul, the biggest seller in French rap, is banking on the same recipe, on a virtually identical cast, and with the same order of appearance: SCH, Kofs, Jul, Alonzo, Naps, Soso Maness, Elams, Solda and Houari. Thus, only Alonzo, from Psy 4 de la Rime, is added to the list, bringing to nine the number of rappers participating in the project.

The chorus is based on the same foundations (In an organized gang / It’s hot around here / You need the mentality / Coal like in the factory). As for the rhythms, although a little less danceable, they are furiously reminiscent of those of the mega hit of 2020.

On a bus on the Old Port, on the cornice, in the open sea or at the Prado but also at the foot of the towers, the clip of Organized gang 2 was imagined as a tribute to Marseille and its diversity. In the 6’42” video, we can also recognize comedian Redouane Bougheraba, Mohamed Henni and Bengous, all emblematic Marseille figures who gravitate around the rapper.

The winks to Organized gang are not lacking, of course. We thus discover SCH doing his “7 euros d’essence“at the pump, Soso Maness offers again”a Ricard to Putin“, while Naps, also indicted for “rape and sexual assault”, celebrates the “five times diamond” from the first sound.

On the lyrical side, Marseille references are plentiful. Whether it’s referring to players from Olympique de Marseille, “I’m lifting it up like Balerdi“, to evoke the daily life of Provençal motorists, “It drives me crazy in traffic jams / I’m on the Valentine section“, or to mention… your newspaper La Provence (Soso Maness: “I’m on La Provence in the news). Quant au couplet d’Alonzo ambiance latino – “We’re going to leave the street / For mama’s little heart“it could well replace the now famous”Zumba Cafe” by Soso Maness.

Will this new opus have the same success as the original, whose punchlines “Yes, my spoiled one” or “It’s Marseille, baby“, have now entered everyday language? Half an hour after it was posted online, the clip had already accumulated 35,000 views.
