A parking attendant went berserk and carried sickles because he did not accept the enforcement of illegal parking on Jalan Daan Mogot, Kalideres, West Jakarta. DKI DPRD member from PKS, Abdul Aziz, suggested to the transportation agency (dishub) to curb illegal parking in a nutshell.
“Controlling, especially for illegal parking, must be routinely carried out at intervals that are not too long. If the interval is too long, the thugs already feel they have ownership,” Aziz told journalists, Friday (10/2/2023).
If an area is controlled by thugs, controlling it, Aziz surmises, will be even more difficult to carry out. In addition, Aziz asked the Transportation Agency to always coordinate with the police when they want to control illegal parking.
“In this operation the police were also involved because not a few of these thugs were also backed up by security personnel,” he said.
Member of Commission B DPRD DKI Jakarta PDIP faction, Gilbert Simanjuntak, also commented on illegal parking thuggery. He was sure that similar incidents on Jalan Daan Mogot could be handled properly by officers.
“We certainly don’t expect society to fight rules with violence,” added Gilbert
“We support the steps of Satpol PP and the police to control illegal parking,” he explained.

The incident went viral on social media. In the video circulating, it can be seen that the perpetrator was involved in an argument with officers.
Soon he pulled out a sickle. Officers managed to paralyze the perpetrator.
Kapolsek Kalideres AKP Syafri Wasdar confirmed the incident. He said the clerk with the initials TR (60) resisted the officers during a raid by the Transportation Agency.
“When the Transportation Agency wanted to control the motorbike that he parked, the Transportation Agency wanted to transport it, there was a commotion with the Transportation Agency. He had a sickle in the stall, he took it up and down,” said Syafri when contacted, Friday (10/2/2023).
“What he means is he’s trying to keep the parking lot from being disciplined, that’s the point,” he added.
Syafri explained that the incident occurred on Thursday (9/2), around Jalan Daan Mogot, Kalideres, West Jakarta.
