Juice for electric cars anywhere, anytime. Toyota and Honda are testing a mobile charging station

The futuristic-looking vehicle is called “Moving e” and its creators claim that it is able to supply electricity almost immediately anytime, anywhere. In the case of Asia, we are talking mainly about the threat of typhoons or earthquakes. Such natural disasters can easily disconnect large areas from electricity for a long time.

The Moving e vehicle system consists of a Toyota fuel cell bus, a Honda portable external power supply called the Power Exporter 9000, and two types of Honda portable batteries. Of course, the equipment includes a number of cables and chargers.

The authors of the project believe that the car will be able to supply not only parts of towns and villages during natural disasters, but also various events.

As for the car itself, it originated from the Toyota FC Bus. The designers equipped it with twice the number of hydrogen tanks, which are able to generate a capacity of 454 kWh with a maximum output of 18 kW.

But the car is not just one big docking station for various devices. If used during natural disasters, people will also be able to rest on board.

However, it is not yet clear when it will be possible to use it in practice. Toyota and Honda have decided to continue testing the technology in practice. Only when she decides whether the vehicle will actually be produced in larger quantities.
