“Jueves Vivos” continues in the Piazzolla Room of the Teatro Argentino

He Cultural Institute of the province of Buenos Aires presents a new show from the “Jueves Vivos” cycle with performances by Laura Albarracín and the Mancuso-Loudet duo. It will be this October 24, starting at 8:00 p.m., in the Astor Piazzolla Room of the Teatro Argentino Provincial Arts Center (Av. 51 e/ 9 and 10). Tickets are free and on a first-come, first-served basis, until capacity is exhausted.

The day will begin with Mancuso-Loudet duo, composed of Marcelo Mancuso on flute and Pablo Loudet on guitar, who will offer an instrumental show that includes a series of Argentine music pieces belonging to the genres of tango and folklore, in a chamber style. The repertoire includes composers such as Villoldo, Troilo, Leguizamón, Di Fulvio, Páez, Piazzolla, among others, in versions arranged and adapted, for this instrumentation, made by Loudet.

After more than 30 years of artistic career, both decided to unite their experiences to form a chamber music duo in order to offer a project where diversity occupies a main role, and in which the classic and the modern are integrated, the foreign and the native, the academic and the popular.

The closing will be carried out by Laura AlbarracinArgentine popular music singer. She participated in numerous recording works in which she was invited by her colleagues, such as Juan Falú, Xeito Novo, Eva Ayllon, Raúl Carnota and Oscar Cardozo Ocampo. She also shared stages with artists such as the Dúo Salteño, Markama, Cecilia Todd, Suma Paz, Marián Farías Gómez, Hermanos Nuñez, Alfredo Ábalos, among many others, and was the opening act for Mercedes Sosa. He has released more than ten solo albums and several awards throughout his artistic career.

About Province Code

The Buenos Aires Cultural Institute announced the reopening of registrations to the Provincial Code catalogue. The call will be open until November 15, and registration can be done through codigoprovincia.gba.gob.ar.

It is a web platform that functions as a bank of music created and produced in the province of Buenos Aires, in addition to accounting for the territorial and cultural diversity of Buenos Aires with a catalog of artists, playlists, radio productions, content for electronic media, concerts, and presence at festivals to position Buenos Aires artists and their creations.

It currently has more than 2,700 artist profiles, with a wide variety of musical genres, including folklore, indie, rock, electronic, pop, cumbia, among others; and diverse trajectories between new, emerging, consolidated and benchmarks. More than 100 profiles from the industrial sector are also registered.

Likewise, Code Provincia has its radio broadcast in which interviews are carried out with representatives of the Buenos Aires music industry, in addition to taking a musical tour through the catalogue. The program is broadcast every Thursday from 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. on Radio Provincia AM1270, and can be heard on or in the Radio Provincia app.

October Presentations

The Jueves Vivos series will close the month on October 31 with the presentation of “The Robot Underwater” and Melanie Williams.
