The bankruptcy court of Milan has ordered the judicial liquidation, i.e. the bankruptcy according to the old procedures, of Ki Group srl, one of the companies of the bio food group which was led by the Minister of Tourism Daniela Santanchè, who later left the corporate structure. The judges accepted the request of the Milan Prosecutor’s Office. The company had requested admission to the simplified composition with creditors.
“In relation to the opening of the judicial liquidation of the company Ki Group srl, and the consequent news that appeared in certain newspapers in reference to an alleged Santanchè case, I intend to point out that in the said company I once had a completely marginal role and today I do not I have some.” Minister Daniela Santanchè says so. “The news according to which Ki Group would be (or would have been) ‘headed by me’ therefore provide an untrue representation of the facts and appear to be inspired exclusively by the desire to discredit my personal image and the reputation of the position I have the honor of holding “. “In particular, through the company headed by me, Immobiliare Dani srl – explains the Minister of Tourism in a note – I have held and hold in KI Group, since the date of its establishment, only an insignificant shareholding (equal to 5 %). , still without any management delegation and for a few more months, until 10 May 2021 – concludes Santanchè – the date on which I definitively abandoned all functions”.
The sentence of the judges (Macchi-Pipicelli-Rossetti) was filed in the afternoon, after the hearing which was held on 18 December last and in which the deputy prosecutor Laura Pedio and the prosecutors Marina Gravina and Luigi Luzi, also holders of various files on the former Santanchè companies, including the well-known Visibilia case, they had insisted on the judicial liquidation of Ki Group srl, while the company’s lawyers were aiming for admission to the simplified composition with creditors to save the srl.
With today’s verdict, among other things, scenarios are now opening up for a bankruptcy investigation against the directors and former members of the LLC. In recent weeks, however, eleven people, including employees and commercial agents, had given up their request for liquidation, having been paid either in full or an advance of the salary and severance pay that they had not previously received.
Santanchè, in particular, was president of Bioera, which controlled Ki Group, until February 2022 (she had been on the board of directors since 2012). Also in Bioera, Canio Mazzaro, former partner of the Fdi senator, was listed as “responsible for investor relations”.
In recent months, Milan prosecutors have also requested judicial liquidation for Ki Group holding and for Bioera itself, two other companies in the organic group, but the latter, in the meantime, have asked for so-called ‘protective measures’ for the recovery, through the negotiated settlement of the crisis.
