Judges Discuss Controversial Football Events and Call for Mandatory Meeting

Portuguese referees met urgently this week, in Luso, and discussed the latest controversial events in Portuguese football, reported CMTV.

Record confirmed that one of the topics that the judges do not like is the added time given in this season’s games, as they consider that too many minutes are being played. The incorrect placement of the offside lines and communication failures at Estádio do Dragão during FC Porto-Arouca were also issues addressed.

The call for this meeting, by those responsible for arbitration, was not mandatory. Some of the referees who officiate in the professional leagues did not go to Luso but in the meantime they were all summoned to a new meeting, next week, which is mandatory.
