Judge Tatyana Gyoneva Koeva: Releasing Stara Zagorje Monster and Controversial Cases.

A new scandal is taking shape around the judge who released the Stara Zagorje monster Georgi Npikolaev.

“Judge Tatyana Gyoneva Koeva, who released Georgi Nikolaev, who brutally disfigured 18-year-old Deborah, also released my son’s killer.”

This is what the blackened mother Mariela Nikolova told “Telegraf”. She lost her son on June 29, 2018 in an accident at the Hainboaz pass near the village of Pchelinovo.

About the melee with deceased musicians Pavel Dyulgerski and Nikolay Nikolov, known as NI. with, the Turkish publisher Mehmet Kaliman is accused. “We witnessed vaudeville. I saw from the front row how Bulgarian justice works and how a murderer walks away undisturbed, with a suspended sentence,” Nikolay’s mother blurted out.

Tragedy takes a right turn. The car with Pavel and Nikolay enters the oncoming traffic and collides with the bus driven by Kaliman. Nikolay died on the spot, Pavel died 4 months later in hospital. The mother says that Judge Goneva “appears on the scene of judicial actions nearly five years after the accident.”

That’s how long it takes the investigators to get the triple forensic medical expertise requested by the distraught family, which indicates that Mehmet Kaliman was speeding and there are grounds for charges to be brought against him.

However, according to the previous one, he was driving at the permissible 40 km/h. The pre-trial proceedings continue for three months in 2023. The mother claims that on May 18, Judge Goneva uttered the following words: “Sentences should not be viewed as punishment. This is the man. He has a family that needs him. Punishment should be with thought and care for people who go on with their lives.”

“Prosecutor Aneta Stoeva asked for a suspended sentence of 3.5 years. Calliman pleaded guilty, automatically entering 1/3 sentence reduction mode. Judge Goneva asked for a 4.5 year sentence.

Under the circumstances thus created, exactly 3 years of imprisonment are obtained, which is the maximum term for declaring the sentence conditional. It was all done in less than 10 minutes. As stunned spectators, we watched how the ball was played on a tennis court,” says the mother. So Mehmet Kaliman is released for now. This is at first instance, now the family is waiting for the case to be heard at the Court of Appeal – Plovdiv.

According to the first examination, the driver of the bus was driving at the permissible 40 km/h, which automatically exonerates him, he was not brought to court and was released. According to Mariela, then the Turk was not questioned as an accused, but as a witness. Nearly 5 years followed, during which Kaliman calmly practiced his profession, passing through our country more than 50 times.

The conclusion of the triple examination leads to an order for his detention. On three consecutive dates, the man did not appear. A European warrant for his arrest followed, and he was caught on a course he was trying to make through Bulgaria. He remained in detention in Stara Zagora for three months with a remand “detention in custody”, which his lawyer disputed, but the Court of Appeal – Plovdiv, did not respect his request.

Tatiana Gyoneva Koeva graduated from the prestigious “Romain Roland” Polytechnic in Stara Zagora. Her French teacher, Ruska Karaboyanova, told “Telegraph” that she was an excellent and disciplined student. She is not married, has no children. She is often seen walking her dogs in the neighborhood where she lives, witnesses said.

Goneva closed her Facebook profile in a flash, after she was flooded with angry posts from people who found out that she was the judge who released Georgi Nikolaev. Before that, the lady had been constantly sharing posts to help sick and suffering people, as well as disadvantaged people.
