The judge had previously ruled that all remaining postal votes must be delivered to the vote counters. Lawyers said the postal service delivered about 150,000 ballots on Wednesday, roughly 8,000 or 9,000 of which had already been sent on Sunday. Many states count postal votes arriving up to a week after election day, as long as they are postmarked on election day. “I want to focus on everything that is in those mail sorting centers, and sending those ballots out so they can be counted,” Judge Emmet Sullivan said on Wednesday.
