President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo accused Judge Nancy Juárez Salas of overstepping her bounds by ordering the removal of the presidential decree on judicial reform from the Official Gazette of the Federation. “The first paragraph of article 61 of the Amparo Law says that the amparo is not valid, it is inadmissible for constitutional reforms… We are not going to download that publication because the judge is not within her rights,” he confirmed.

He continued: “a judge wants us to lower the constitutional reform for an amparo from the Official Gazette of the Federation, where the reforms are published. And this morning I was reading the Amparo Law and in article 61 it says that the Amparo Law clearly cannot influence when there are constitutional reforms. In other words, the judge is overstepping her bounds.”
That is why we said, he added, “that the people of Mexico elected their leaders, their deputies, their senators and want to elect judges, magistrates and ministers, and we are not going to lower that publication because the judge is not within her rights.” .

“Who believes that the ministers should be chosen by the Senate of the Republic?” There was no response.
“The other one, who believes that the ministers should be elected by the people of Mexico?” In addition to raised hands, there were shouts of support.
This is what was decided in the last elections, the President stressed, the Constitution was changed and “as we say, with the people everything, without the people nothing. In Mexico the people rule and that is how we are going to govern.”
