Jude Bellingham followed up an excellent debut for Real Madrid with an even better performance against Almeria in LaLiga last weekend.
The England midfielder scored a superb goal against Bilbao’s Athletic Club in a thrilling performance at San Mames last weekend, but the 20-year-old surpassed that effort with two goals and an assist in Saturday’s 3-1 away win over Almeria.
Almeria took the lead early in the game but Bellingham equalized in the 19th minute after lunging at a loose ball in the box and firing off the post.
That goal was awarded after an extensive review for possible offside and also a possible handball as the ball appeared to come loose from the midfielder’s upper arm before scoring.
Toni Kroos then realized a goal was ruled out for offside, but the German played a perfect pass into the box, allowing Bellingham to head the ball in in the second five minutes of the second half, and the Englishman later played Vinicius in the box Junior in the lead for a third time ended his second game as a Madrid player with two goals and an assist.
He became the first Real Madrid player to score in his first two competitive games since Cristiano Ronaldo and went on to pay tribute to his brother Jobe, who scored twice for Sunderland earlier in the day.
“The best motivation I could get from watching @j_bellingham “He scored his first professional goals,” he wrote on Twitter. “Another hard-fought win, Hala Madrid!”

Older brother Jude is just 20 years old and has been named Man of the Match in his two previous games at Real Madrid.
“I think I’m ten times better than the player I was last season,” he told Real Madrid TV. “I learn with these players, these teammates. The level here is very high.”
