Real Madrid picked up a well-deserved 4-0 home win against Osasuna late on Saturday afternoon. The foundation for this was once again laid by Bellingham, who even eclipsed Cristiano Ronaldo’s rocket launch in December 2009 with a brace.

Not even Jude Bellingham himself could have dreamed of such a start at Real Madrid. With his seventh and eighth goals of the season in his only eighth league game, the Englishman even surpassed Cristiano Ronaldo’s rocket start after his move in the summer of 2009. The Portuguese “only” scored seven goals in his first eight league games.
But rewinding to the beginning: In the home game against Osasuna, coach Carlo Ancelotti had to improvise in the center of defense because captain Nacho had recently picked up a completely unnecessary red card in the top game against Girona. Tchouameni defended alongside Rüdiger. Osasuna wanted to take advantage of this early in the game and looked for salvation on the offensive. However, the guests often lacked precision in the final third.
It was different on the other side, where Modric played a fantastic vertical ball to Carvajal, who laid it off for Bellingham with clarity. The former Dortmund player was allowed to take two steps and shoot under the crossbar with his left – 1-0 (9th). As a result, Osasuna didn’t let the deficit bother them and the guests continued to play their game. They even sniffed the equalizer twice, but Moncayola (42′) and Budimir (45’+1) lacked coolness.
One-two with Fede Valverde and Tunnel
Real came out of the dressing room with a somewhat flattering 1-0 result – and Ancelotti had apparently found clear words. The Whites showed a completely different face and played Osasuna against the wall at times in the second half. Joselu missed Real’s second goal shortly after the restart (47′). That’s why Bellingham stepped in again: The Englishman played a one-two with Fede Valverde and then tunneled through keeper Herrera (54th). Eighth goal in the eighth league game, second brace – an incredible rate for the summer newcomer.
But now my colleagues were really up for it too. After Camavinga won the ball, Fede Valverde sent the lightning-fast Vinicius Junior straight, who rounded the goalkeeper and increased the score to 3-0 (65′). Just five minutes later it was 4-0 because Vinicius Junior worked brilliantly for Joselu, who put the ball to the left of the post (70th).
Before the final quarter of an hour had even begun, Bellingham and Vinicius Junior were able to celebrate at the Bernabeu. Even without the duo, Real looked for salvation on the offensive. Joker Kroos took a hand penalty, which Joselu shot almost miserably into the middle – and Herrera parried (84th).
With the home win – their fourth this season (4/4/0, 10:2 goals) – Real will definitely remain La Liga leaders over the international break. From the end of October things will continue in a demanding way with away games at Sevilla FC, at Sporting Braga in the premier class and in Barcelona at the Clasico.
