The fronterizos receive the Mexican soccer champion on the fourth day of the league tournament. Juárez is in twelfth place in the table with just one point.
On matchday 1, Juárez lost by the minimum against Pumas in a historic match in which for the first time the referee explained his decision to the public after reviewing the VAR. For the second day of the tournament, the border team tied 0-0 against Cruz Azul with Sebastián Jurado who saved a penalty in the last minutes.
For its part, América is the current general leader of the tournament with six points out of a possible six after beating Xolos on the first day and Querétaro on the second day, in their home debut at the Azteca stadium.
The last time they faced each other was on matchday one of Apertura 2023, Juárez defeated América with a score of 1-2 at the Coloso de Santa Úrsula.
