Brothers Juancho and Willy Hernagómez debuted last night in the preseason as starters with their respective teams the Boston Celtics and New Orleans Pelicans, but with opposite luck for each of them.
While Juancho helped the Celtics to a 98-97 victory against the Orlando Magic, his brother Willy watched as the Pelicans, on the road, fell 117-114 to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The youngest of the Hernangómez brothers played 17 minutes at number four for the Celtics, along with the stars, power forward Jayson Tatum and guard Jaylen Brown, who were the outstanding players of the team and the game.
His understanding was good, as was the team chemistry and In the 17 minutes he was on the TD Garden court, he contributed six pointsAfter scoring 1 of 2 field goals, he missed a 3-point attempt, hitting all four personnel pitches he made.
Also, under the hoops captured four rebounds -three offensive players-, put a stopper, lost a ball and committed two personal fouls.

The Celtics also had the return of Dominican center Al Horford, who began his second stage with the Boston team and played 18 minutes in which he scored five points.
Horford made 2 of 6 shots from the field, including a four-shot triple, and it wasn’t the personnel line.
But he did an excellent job under the hoops, getting seven rebounds – six defensive -, recovered a ball, lost another and committed a personal foul.
Willy, as number five for the Pelicans, who started the starting game, played 15 minutes and fulfilled by contributing two points and four rebounds that did not prevent the defeat of the New Orleans team, which has a new coach with rookie Willie Green.
The older of the Hernangómez brothers, who is playing his second season with the Pelicans, scored 1 of 3 shots from the field, he missed the only personnel throw he made, but had a presence under the hoops with four rebounds -three offensive players-, he lost a ball and committed five personal fouls, which conditioned his playing minutes.
Along with Willy, Brazilian rookie forward Didi Louzada, made his NBA debut with five minutes of rebounding for the Pelicans.
On the Timberwolves team, American center Karl-Anthony Towns stood out with 15 points, including two triples from four attempts, seven rebounds, four assists and a block.
His new teammate, Argentine forward Leandro Bolmaro, a former Barcelona player, played nine minutes in which he contributed two points, making 1 of 4 shots from the field, he missed the two triple attempts he made, captured a rebound, gave an assist and recovered a ball.
His compatriot, Gabriel Deck played 18 minutes as a backup for the Oklahoma City Thunder, who lost 97-113 at home to the Charlotte Hornets, and had four points and five rebounds, including four defenders.
The former Real Madrid player scored the only shot he made to the basket and another two from the personnel line, gave an assist and committed a foul.
