The Mexican player for the Utah Jazz Juan Toscano announced that he will not represent the Mexican Basketball Team.
Toscano explained that for now he will focus on what has to do with his career within the NBA and for that reason he will not go to the FIBA 2023 with the tricolor
In interview with HispanicSportsMedia, Toscano explained that “I felt very happy to see my friends fulfill a dream, but for me I’m not going back with the national team. That was a part of my life and I’m going to focus my career here in the NBA.”.
Juan Toscano was considered by the coach Omar Quintero to be part of the Mexican team, but the Jazz player declined the invitation on more than one occasion.
The FIBA World Cup championship is going to take place from August 25 to September 10 in Philippines, Japan and Indonesia.
