San Jose, August 26, 2024. The Historical Cultural Museum Juan Santamaria (MHCJS) invites the entire community to enjoy its monthly program, full of cultural and educational activities, as well as its varied offering of temporary exhibitions.
This museum, an icon of national culture and history, prepares a series of activities for its public on a monthly basis that promote enrichment, understanding and appreciation of Costa Rican history and culture. The activities are designed to involve visitors of all ages and offer a unique and unforgettable experience.
The best thing of all is that the entrance to the Historical Cultural Museum Juan Santamariaand all activities are completely free! “We want everyone to have the opportunity to enjoy the exhibitions, workshops and special events that we organize every month,” the institution announced.
In this museum, visitors can enjoy:
-Temporary exhibitions: Discover new themes or relive history through temporary and permanent exhibitions, which highlight key moments of the heroic deeds and cultural evolution of Costa Rica. Regarding the exhibitions, curator Karol Hernández mentions the following: “Each artist has his or her own technique in which he or she wishes to show, through his or her vision, the art captured in his or her different works and sculptures. These elements combine to offer us a different proposal, where we can enrich our historical and cultural learning. We have different exhibition halls so that you can live the experience.”
-Cultural activities: Music, dance and theatre performances that celebrate the country’s rich cultural heritage.
-Educational workshops: Participate in interactive and educational workshops designed to learn in a fun and meaningful way about Costa Rican history and art.
-Talks and conferences: Attend talks and lectures given by experts who will offer new perspectives and insights on various aspects of history and culture.
