The feature film, which was shot in Rome, is an Italian-American war drama based on the novel Without blood by Alessandro Baricco, which was published in 2003. The story revolves around Nina (Hayek), who survived a war only to discover that her trauma will fuel her revenge years later. In October 2022, during a chat with Catalina Dlugi, Minujín had told a little about what it was like to work with Jolie, confirming that she had been part of the project, which was recorded in secret. “I can’t say too much yet, but it is indeed a film called Without blood, “Based on the novel by Alessandro Baricco, it is directed by Angelina Jolie and was filmed in part in Rome and part in Puglia. The main characters are Salma Hayek and Demián Bichir,” he said.

“My character there is very, very nice. The only thing I can say is that it was a super extraordinary experience. When I can tell and show the material, I will do so; but the truth is, to put it in a few words: it was an extremely interesting experience. Angelina is an extraordinary director, and it is clear that she has a lot of experience.” background“, he added.

“Unlike a situation where you might come across someone like her, like an awards ceremony, for example, in this case it helped a lot that we were very involved in the work. We were on a film set. So, beyond the first impact because she is a person that you have seen very, very well from many films, the truth is that immediately a dynamic of a lot of collaboration was created,” he said about how it was to break the barrier of working with a Hollywood megastar.

She added: “She is a director who is very sensitive to actors. You can see that she has a lot of experience as an actress and she knows how to use it in this role as well. And, in addition, she has a very intelligent view of what she wants to tell, a great capacity for work and great humility, too.”

During that interview, he also said that he did not have the pleasure of filming with Hayek. “I didn’t have any scenes with Salma. Our characters are in different moments. She and Bichir are extraordinary actors and the whole team is on a scale that is very nice. It is interesting to work in Hollywood every now and then because it gives you a sense of a different scale,” he had said then. And he later clarified: “It is neither better nor worse. It is a different scale.”

“Sometimes, at the end of the day, when I arrived at the hotel and had had a good day, I felt very happy to be participating in this project. I had some very nice scenes, but also some very difficult ones, and in English, which is still a very big challenge,” he recalled.
