The production companies of the JTBC drama “King of the Earth” have issued an apology for the controversial portrayal of an Arab character in its final episodes, and pledged to correct those parts.

The series, which was co-produced by NBU Entertainment, BY4M Studios and SLL, angered viewers in the Middle East after episodes seven and eight portrayed a wealthy Arab as a heavy drinker and womanizer. . The series was also heavily criticized for choosing an Indian actor to play the character.
