Acknowledgments and reports on the club’s activities over the past two years were on the agenda of the TSV Nüdlingen annual general meeting. Frank Wilm, President of Management and Marketing, was able to welcome 34 members in the house of sport. Reports from board members and department heads showed that work in the association is becoming increasingly difficult and that the corona pandemic has not been entirely without consequences for the association.
In his greeting, 3rd Mayor Stephan Schmitt (UWH) thanked the TSV for participating in various events in the country, notably the 1250th anniversary. Everything went very well at the winery and barn party. It was one of the best things about the anniversary celebration. He hasn’t forgotten the children’s holiday program that the gymnastics and sports society organizes every year. “Keep it up”, he called to the club members. Haard gaming association chairman Christian Beck thanked for the good cooperation in recent years and wished TSV “all the best for the future,” according to a press release.
New challenges
In his report on the association’s situation, Frank Wilm pointed out that the past two years have been shaped by the corona pandemic and that the war in Ukraine has now brought new challenges. As a result, the costs, especially for heating diesel fuel, have increased significantly. On the other hand, he was pleased that TSV’s finances had been put back on a solid financial footing. He criticizes the fact that it becomes increasingly difficult to find helpers for sports operations and for the management: “Selfishness and indifference are a social problem and the rest of the team then has to do more and more”.
Lack of players and bad luck with injuries
Wilm also announced that the main sports field’s irrigation system had rusted and that it would take € 25,000 to repair it – “overall, the condition of our property is in dire need of refurbishment.” Despite unions with neighboring clubs for both women and men, the situation has worsened significantly. “The coaches have to make sure that the teams are able to play almost every weekend. It is surprising that the coaches still do it on their own,” he complained. Reports from individual departments repeatedly spoke of bad luck with injuries and lack of players, which went so far that individual matches could not take place at all.
Secretary Christian Hein’s report showed that the club has 388 members, 342 in football and 46 in the bowling department. 88 members are under the age of 18. There will still be no department heads for the first team and for the old ones, because no one has agreed to take these positions.
But there was also good news: Ewald Hofmann was awarded for 50 years of membership. Adalberto Kiesel, Detlef Kiesel, Ruppert Mahlmeister and Wolfgang Wilm have been there for 40 years. Pascal Hein and Sven Zirkelbach can look back on 25 years of belonging.
