Luka Jovic so regretted his decision too soon to move to Real Madrid. He felt that at that time he was too young to face the pressure at a club as big as El Real.
Jovic is trying to rebuild his career which had faded at Real Madrid together Fiorentina. The Serbian striker joined La Viola on a free transfer from El Real last summer.
Jovic appeared promising in his first season with Fiorentina. He has scored 10 goals in all competitions for the club from Florence. Sharpness that seemed lost in Madrid is now slowly reappearing.
Jovic was only able to score three goals in 51 appearances with Madrid from 2019 to 2022. In fact, great expectations accompanied him when he joined Santiago Bernabeu.
Madrid is willing to redeem Jovic for 63 million euros from Eintracht Frankfurt. He is predicted to be a future goal machine for Los Blancos, judging by his extraordinary appearance with Frankfurt. Jovic was unstoppable with Frankfurt by being able to make 40 goals in 93 appearances.
Jovic deeply regretted his decision to move to Madrid. He considered playing in Madrid to be one of the most difficult periods of his career.
He made the mistake of moving too quickly to a club as big as Madrid. He moved to Madrid when he was only 21 years old.
Jovic feels he is too young to be under the spotlight and pressure like he was at Madrid. He also found it difficult to adapt in Madrid because he was injured and caught with COVID.
“From the start, everything went wrong. I left Eintracht Frankfurt too early, after only one season at the top,” said Jovic as quoted by Football Italia.
“All the spotlight was on me but it’s difficult for a 21-year-old to adjust to the biggest club in the world. Between the injuries, COVID and the unfair pressure, it was an unpleasant experience,” he said.
