Statements ahead of the match of the National Team with England were made by Ivan Jovanovic, with the Federal coach also referring to the sold out of the tickets issued.
“We are coming from four positive results and the match against England is of particular interest because we can take first place in our group. However, it will be a tough game. Maybe it will be even more difficult than the first match at Wembley,” said Jovanovic initially, who added: “It will be an open and good match. It may be a match that suits us both a draw and a win, but we will try to do what we did the previous times. We must be aggressive at home, play a quality game.”
Regarding the “disappearance” of the tickets, Jovanovic said: “We expected the sold out after the results with England and Ireland. I could not imagine that this will be done in 7-8 hours. This shows a passion of Greeks for football. It shows the enormous trust they have in the National Team and how our image represents them on the field. It will be a very beautiful evening. Players will have an extra incentive and support they deserve based on all they have done. We will do everything to make the crowd leave the stadium proud again.”
