Vicky Ward has previously worked for CNN and Vanity Fair, as well as written several books over the years. She has also covered the Epstein case for two decades.
Now she is launching a podcast about the case, which will be called “Chasing Ghislaine”.
It will be about the convicted Epstein and his alleged accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, writes Page Six. Epstein was arrested in the summer of 2019, charged with human trafficking and abuse of minors. He was found dead in the prison cell a month later.
Exclusive material
The episodes will include Ward’s previous interviews with Epstein that have never been published before.
– You’ll hear Jeffrey Epstein from the grave, Ward tells of his exclusive conversations with Epstein.
Ward has lost the cassettes, so actors will resume the conversations from the transcripts, Page Six reports.
Listeners will also hear testimonies from over 20 people associated with Epstein.
– Left traces
It is also reported that Ward will address Epstein’s ex-girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell in the podcast, as a way to immerse herself in his world.
– I have many hours of conversations, and what I realized twenty years later was that he, like all narcissistic sociopaths, left traces I did not catch until now, Ward continues.
Maxwell, who is accused of having recruited teenage girls for Epstein, is now waiting for the trial to begin.
Ghislaine’s role as a gateway
The podcast will focus on Epstein’s authority, meetings that took place in private spaces, and the international power that most of us were not aware of, but that Ghislaine knew about. So it’s about her role as a gateway to that world, Ward says.
The podcast will be available July 15 on Audible, and is produced by award-winning author James Patterson. There will also be a three-hour documentary on Discovery Plus, showing Ward’s investigative work and preparations for the podcast. She filmed the recordings at home due to the coronary restrictions.
