Thiruvananthapuram: Police have found the mini tipper truck that caused the death of journalist SV Pradeep. The driver was identified as Joy, 55, of Peroorkada. Lori was apprehended from Incheon on Tuesday afternoon during an investigation following surveillance camera footage. The driver told police the lorry was driving without stopping because it was scared after the accident. A case of manslaughter has been registered against him.
Police found that Pradeep’s scooter was hit by a lorry traveling from Cheriyakonni to Vellayani Sarvodayam Road with M Sand. This can only be confirmed by a forensic examination. Both vehicles were examined by forensic experts.
The accident took place at Thulavila in Pappanamkode at 3.30 pm on Monday. The lorry was traveling in the same direction and collided with a scooter going ahead. Pradeep fell under the rear wheel of the lorry.

The delay in locating the vehicle involved in the accident was a mystery.
