The journalist Glória Maria, an icon of Brazilian television, died a victim of lung cancer at the age of 73. The news was given by the Globo channel, where the reporter developed her journalistic career.
According to the chain, the treatment he was undergoing to combat a metastasis in his brain stopped working in recent days. Glória was the first journalist to broadcast live for the ‘Jornal Nacional’ news program and she showed more from 100 countries in their reports, leaving outstanding moments in the history of Brazilian television.
“It is with great sadness that I receive the news of the death of Glória Maria, one of the greatest journalists in the history of our television.
