Muhammad Ali Al-Suwaisi, a journalist specializing in information technologies on the Sabah Al-Nas program today, Wednesday, October 4, 2023, denied what is being circulated regarding the global Internet outage on October 11.
He explained that if there had been such an event, organizations and governments around the world would have taken action to find a solution because the economy and even the national security of the countries of the world today depend greatly on the Internet.
He said that the United States of America will conduct a test this Wednesday evening in order to alert all its residents via short messages on smart and regular cell phones and via email in the event of natural disasters. Perhaps that is what opened the door to interpretations and the spread of such fake news, he said.
